History of Green Valley Moving

Green Valley Moving began in 2009, born out of a desire to fill a huge need in our
community. Over the years, while working with clients through my second business, Green Valley Auctions

I witnessed the need for another quality local moving company to serve
Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro and surrounding communities. After many years
of experience moving antiques and household furnishings, it only made sense to branch
out and apply these skills to a full-service moving company.

By 2015, after adding two more 26’ moving vans to our fleet and several more trained movers, we expanded our moving services to out-of-state moves. Since expanding, our long-distance movers have transported families  from Virginia to New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Delaware, Rhode Island, New Jersey, North & South Carolina, Maryland, West Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Florida and Kansas.

What You Get From Our Professional Movers

In order to maintain our high level of service, our crew leaders see a job through from loading and driving to unloading. We are a detail oriented moving company and take special care to ensure that your belongings are organized and moved carefully. Our team even provides helpful moving tips and things to consider when planning a move.

In addition to offering local and long distance moving services , Green Valley Moving
is also proud to offer Senior Transitioning services. Whether you are moving yourself or
helping to move a loved one, you can put your trust in Green Valley.

Since 1967, we have been a family-owned business. Family has always been the center of everything we do at Green Valley. In order to honor our employee’s commitment to their own families, we try to limit out-of-state moves to a two-night stay away from

If you are planning a move, I hope you will consider letting our family move your family.
